Ignition Switch
All the components cannot be tested without knowing which are energised through the ignition/starter switch.
Position 1 : anti-clockwise
This position enables :
- radio receiver,
- aerial,
- windscreen wipers,
- cigar lighters,
- fuel door.
The ignition warning lamp is illuminated but the engine ignition circuit not energised. This position is intended for picnicking.
Position 2 : clock wise
This position enables :
- ignition circuit,
- fuel pumps,
- all instruments and warning lamps,
- air conditioning system,
- front seats,
- rear window demister,
- horns,
- headlamp flashing,
- reversing lamps and direction indicators
- plus all the compoenets above in position 1.
